Ralph F. Penley, born in Lewiston, Maine on August 17, 1936, to Maria J. Penley and Lewis W. Penley, died at USC Hospital in Los Angeles, on August 6. He and his wife, Betty, have lived in Tehachapi for over 21 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 1/2 years, sister, Evelyn Jane Pelletier and her husband, Gene, brothers, Ronald Douglas Penley and wife, Marjie, and Richard Winfred Penley, brother–in-law, Richard G. Fortier and wife, April, Uncles Doug and Fred, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was precedented in death by his mother and father, son, Stephen Scott Penley in 1980 and sister, Shirley Ann Penley.
Ralph spent 26 years in the Air Force serving his country, retiring as a CM/SGt in 1980. He received a BS in Business Management from Golden Gate Universary in 1977. He retired from Civil Service in 1983.
He was an avid golfer until the last few years, loving to play at Camelot in Mojave and numerous other courses in the area. He has left very many dear and special friends in the communities of Lancaster and Tehachapi.
