Dennis O'Keefe passed away rather suddenly. Per his wife on August 21.2022:

"I found him unresponsive sitting in his gator. He was not breathing and didn't seem to have a pulse. The medics quickly arrived and were able to revive him. He is now in ICU and after many tests and hours they cannot find the cause."

He had been without oxygen for around 20 minutes. He never regained consciousness and passed away a few days later in ICU. Cause is unknown. Dennis and his wife Dawn had moved to southern Missouri this past October and were enjoying it there.
