EDWIN BROWN JR.

 Funeral services were held July 17 at Mumaw Chapel, Lancaster, Calif., for Edwin K. Brown Jr., 35. of Mojave, Calif., who died July 13 as the result of injuries suffered in a car accident near Banning, Calif. The Rev. Joel A. Swiggum, Lancaster Lutheran Church, officiated and a medley of Lutheran hymns were played by Gladys Stevens. Burial was at Joshua Memorial Park, Lancaster. Mr. Brown, a former resident of Wilmington, was graduated from Wilmington High School in 1945. He had lived in Mojave, Calif., since 1950. He was an engineer at Edwards Air Force Base. He held a private pilot’s license : and was a member of the Owners and Pilot’s Association, vice president of the Instrument Society of America, and a member of the Brotherhood of Foresters. He was a veteran of World War II having served as a machinists mate in the Navy. In 1953 he married Martha L. Giuen, who survives. He also leaves two daughters, Vickie Sue and Jenny L; a son, Jeffery L., two step-sons, Frank and Ronald J Campbell, his mother, Mrs. Mary Waldren; step-father, Robert Waldren and father, Edwin K. Brown Sr. Honorary paulbearers were Al Phillips, Emil Henrich, John F. McWilliams, Benjamin Bush, Hal Knasdorph, Russ Brown. Active pallbearers were Ed Coates, B. Y. Turner, Max Coney, Marsh Mullens, J. Kern, Lt. Ron Clark, all of Edwards Air Force Base.
